- Stop the BMS Server and go to BMS Studio / Extensions / Manager / Start extension manager...
- Select the SupportTool and install it.
- Run the WinPcap installer placed in:
- For NETx BMS Platform: C:\Program Files (x86)\NETxAutomation\BMS Platform\Core\Setup
- For NETx Multi Protocol Server: C:\Program Files (x86)\NETxAutomation\Multi Protocol Server\Core\Setup
- For NETx BMS Server 2.0: C:\Program Files (x86)\NETxAutomation\NETx.BMS.Server.2.0\Setup
- Start the server: In the item tree you will find the branch NETx\Module\SupportTools\NetworkSniffer
The Filter item contains the Wireshark capture filter and should be set as as follows:
Monitoring target Filter KNX udp port 3671 BACnet udp port 47808 Modbus tcp port 502 Opera / Fidelio tcp port 5005 For more information about the filtering syntax, please take a look at the pcap website.
Warning Please note that the port numbers in the examples are default values and they need to be changed according to your actual configuration.
- Set the respective network card item to 1, and network dumping starts.
- To stop dumping packets, set the respective network card item to 0.
