Connection of BMS visualization clients

PC based BMS visualization clients (both editor and/or runtime) are using the proprietary network communication protocol VNET. VNET is a TCP/IP based protocol that uses TLS for securing the connection between the visualization client and the NETx BMS Core Server.

If the BMS visualization client is located on the same PC where the BMS Platform is running, a local connection can be used. To use the local connection, enable the checkbox "Local Connection" in the connection dialog:

If the client is located on a remote station, authentication via the secure TLS connection is required. For that, a TLS connection password and TLS connection PIN has to be specified.

The configuration settings of the VNET interface are defined within the server configuration.

On the client side, the same settings have to be used.
