Which components will be synchronized?
The following parts and components will be synchronized between the main and backup server:
- Data point values: the values of all Server Items are synchronized. This means, all data changes that are received from the field devices and their data points as well as all data changes from clients (OPC clients, BACnet clients, IoT clients, ...) are synchronized.
- BMS functions: all runtime information and data that are related to BMS functions are synchronized. This includes alarm states and all changes to the definitions and configurations of all BMS functions like schedules, trendings, ...
The following parts and components will not be synchronized between the main and backup server:
- Data that is stored within the SQL database is not synchronized by the NETx System. This includes trending values and test results of the NETx LaMPS module. Synchronization of the SQL database has to be done by the SQL server itself. For more information see synchronizing the SQL database
- Workspace configuration: all configuration and definition files of the workspace (KNX Telegram Definitions, BACnet Device Definitions, ...) are not synchronized. This means that the workspace itself with all its files has to be transferred manually.
- Visualization project: the visualization projects and the graphical elements are not synchronized. The project files (.vxw files) must be copied manually.
- XLogic commands: user-defined XLogic commands and their sources are not synchronized.
