Overview
The Mews interface Device Query module can be used to retrieve information from the hotel management system Mews. Via this interface, check-in/check-out and information about the room status can be retrieved. In order to use the Mews interface, an extra license is needed. In addition, each used hotel room decreases the number of available items by 5. For testing purposes, the "Demo" license includes the Mews interfaceverify the existence of devices. This is done by sending ICMP Ping commands to the configured devices.
Installation
The Mews interface Device Query module is provided as an extension and is not included within the default setup.
To install the Mews interfaceDevice Query module, open the Core Studio and shutdown the Core Server. Afterwards, start the Extension Manager via the menu Extensions > Manager > Start Extension Manager ....

Within the dialog, select "RMS CloudDevice Query" and press the Install button. After having installed the Mews interfaceDevice Query module, close the Core studio and reopen it. Within the Core Studio you will find a new sub menu Mews within Device Query within the menu Modules. It contains entries for all definitions that are necessary for the configuration of the Mews interfaceDevice Query module.
