Overview

The Device Query module can be used to verify the existence of devices. This is done by sending ICMP Ping commands to the configured devices.

Installation

The Device Query module is provided as an extension and is not included within the default setup.

To install the Device Query module, open the Core Studio and shutdown the Core Server. Afterwards, start the Extension Manager via the menu Extensions > Manager > Start Extension Manager ....

Open

Within the dialog, select "Device Query" and press the Install button. After having installed the Device Query module, close the Core studio and reopen it. Within the Core Studio you will find a new sub menu Device Query within the menu Modules. It contains entries for all definitions that are necessary for the configuration of the Device Query module.
