Some gateways do not have a global KNX communication object for starting an emergency test and for getting the result – they have a separate object for each device. Therefore, the ItemIDs has to be configured for each emergency lighting separately.
This is done in the Emergency Test Mapping Defintions Table:The information provided in this table is required for the LaMPS module to execute emergency tests of DALI devices.
There are 2 basic ways how KNX/DALI gateways handle communication objects for DALI device emergency testing:
Case 1: Communication objects exist per DALI device. The respective group addresses have to be provided for each DALI device.
This applies to the following gateway types:
Gira/Insta DALI Gateway Plus REG 218000
Hager Dali gateway KNX TYA670D
Jung KNX DALI-Gateway Plus 2098 REGHE
Ipas DaliControl
MDT DaliControl IP Gateway
Merten KNX DALI-Gateway
Schneider KNX DALI-Gateway
- Siemens KNX/DALI Gateway N 141/03, N 141/21, N 141/31
- Siemens KNX/DALI Gateway N 141/02
Case 2: Communication objects exist per DALI line. That is, LaMPS will address the DALI devices on writing. The required group addresses have already been provided in the gateway configuration. In order to treat DALI devices as emergency lights, they have to be mentioned in this table.

If there is no mentioning of a given gateway in this table, then all its devices will be treated as emergency lights. |
This applies to all KNX/DALI gateways that are not listed in case 1.
