The file menu is active only during administration of the content of any definition table.
| Menu item | Description |

| Save | Saves the currently opened configuration table. The user is asked whether or not to restart the server. If yes, the Core Server will be restarted using the new table. Restarting the Core Server will disconnect all clients! |
| Save all | Saves all open definition tables. The user is asked whether or not to restart the server. If yes, the NETx BMS Core Server will be restarted using the new tables. Restarting the Core Server will disconnect all clients! |
| Close | Closes the currently opened configuration table. |
| Export to Excel | Exports the active definition table into a Microsoft© Excel file. |
| Import from Excel | Imports the active definition table from a Microsoft© Excel file and overwrites the current contents. |
| Prints the currently opened configuration table. | |
| Page setup | Opens a dialog to setup page size, orientation, and margins. |
