Check remaining days in demo period

After installation, the BMS Platform software will run in demo mode.

The demo mode is limited to:

  • Time limit: 30 days

  • Number of clients: 2

  • Number of datapoints: 10000

To check how many days left in the demo period, open the Core Studio (ensure that the NETx server is running) and click from the menu Info > About NETx Server.

The popup window shows some server information and how many days are left in demo period.

Request and activate a license

To request and activate a license, open the Core Studio and click from the menu Info > License Manager ...

In the License Manager window the following data from the NETx invoice have to be entered:

  • License ID

  • License type

  • Number of clients (in case of a custom license)

  • Number of data points (in case of a custom license)

Click Copy this registration data to clipboard, open an email, paste the data from the clipboard there and send it to register@netxautomation.com.

Transfer a license to another installation

If you

  • reinstall your BMS software on a new computer or virtual machine

  • make major hardware changes on your BMS server

  • move an existing virtual machine to a new host system

the purchased license has to be removed from the existing installation. This step is required to get a new license for the new BMS installation.

err

Note: The following step invalidates the current license. The BMS Server will not be stopped, but it cannot be restarted anymore! In order to ensure the further seamless operation of the new or changed system, it is important that you can receive the new license immediately. This is only possible during business hours, why it is strongly recommended, before the next step, to check whether NETxAutomation is able to promptly send you the new license. For it, get in touch by e-mail (office@netxautomation.com). If you do the following step out of business hours (weekend, holidays,…) you have to consider a waiting time until you get the new license.

To generate the removal code, open the License Manager (Menu → Info → License Manager ...) and click Transfer / Remove License.

Due to security reasons a second button Remove License now and a popup window appear.

Click OK to generate the removal code.

After this step the BMS Server cannot be restarted!

The License Manager now shows the removal code:

Send the removal code to register@netxautomation.com.

The removal code is required in order to get a new licence issued.

To get the  license for the new or changed system, follow the steps of section above.

Extending an existing license (additional data points, clients or extensions)

Existing licenses can be extended at any time, both as softlock and hardlock licenses. To do this, send a request to office@netxautomation.com stating the existing license ID and information about the desired changes.

After processing the purchase (offer, order, invoice) you will receive an upgrade file for Hardlock licenses by e-mail. For a Softlock license, you must remove the existing license and send a new license request to NETxAutomation - in the way as it is described in the license transfer section above.

Pricing

When transferring a license a re-licensing fee will be charged.
