Trending data are stored in the SQL database of the BMS Platform.

The Raw values dialog provides functions to view, filter, import, export, and delete trending data.

To open the Raw values dialog, open the Trending app and click the Raw values button image2020-4-15_13-28-24.png from the toolbar.

The page consists of several areas:

  • Toolbar
  • List of trending data: the column headers provide functions for sorting and filtering.

Toolbar functions

The functions on the page depend on the role of the logged on user.

Import

To import values to the current trending, click the Import button  from the toolbar. The following image shows the import dialog:

  • Click the Download Excel Template button to download an empty excel file, where to enter data for a later data import.
  • Click the Select File button to select the file containing the data for the import.

After selecting the import file, the preview dialog appears:

Update existing elements

Enabled: Database records with the same timestamp as in the import file will be updated.
Disabled: All valid records will be imported, regardless of existing data in the database with same timestamps. (warning) This can lead to multiple values at the same time!

Time zone

The timezone in which the timestamps in the import file are denoted.
During import the timestamps are converted and stored in the database in UTC.

Click the Import button to import the values into the database.

Export

To export values of the current trending, click the Export button  from the toolbar.

Records matching the current filter will be exported to an xlsx file.

To export all records, clear the filters and run the export.

Delete

To delete records from the current trending, tick the data rows to delete and click the Delete button from the toolbar.
