To create a Trending, choose from add button Trending. When you create a new Trending,  you will see the Trending configuration in the Detail View.

Trending an item is how often or how frequently has this item been used. Trending is used later on in Chart to give a graphical representation of this Trending. 

The following picture shows the default form to create a trending.

Enable Trending Aggregation

All: Log all value changes of the item. 

Average: Log the average value of the item. 

COV: Log the value of the item when it changes. 

Delta: Log the delta (difference) of the item's value. 

Max: Log the maximum value of the item. 

Meter sampling: Log data in a predefined interval between 5 minutes and 1 hour.

Min: Log the minimum value of the item. 

Pulse: Log the number of value changes of the item.

Sampling: Log data in a definable interval.


Depending on the selected type additional form fields may appear.

Max age [days]

Max age of trending data in days.

0 (default): Ignore age of data.

Select a number how many days to keep the data of the trending. Older data will be deleted.

Interval [s]

Interval [min]

Time interval in seconds.

Time interval in minutes.

COV type

Absolute (default): Defines the threshold value as absolute value.

Percentage: Defines the threshold value as relative value.

ThresholdLog data in the trending when the change of value is grater than the threshold.

Scaling

Disabled (default): scaling is turned off.

Enabled: scaling is turned on and a scaling function appears for configuration.

Min-Max Validation

Disabled (default): Validation is deactivated.

Enabled: Validation is activated. Values outside the min-max range are ignored and not logged to the trending. Additional form fields appear.

Min allowed valueMinimum value.

Time program

Disabled (default): Time program is deactivated.

Enabled: Time program is activated. The trending logs data in the period defined by Start date/time and End date/time.

Chart

Select the graphical presentation of the trending data.

RangeSelect the default range to view in chart view: Day, Week, Month, Year, Custom.
ColorTrending color.
Y axis scaling

Dynamic (default): The system will define the best scaling depending on the values. This is a relative representation of the values.

0-based: All trending values appear in an absolute representation.

Y axis labelLabel of the y axis.
Aggregation

Enabled (default): Aggregated values appear in the chart. The aggregated value is the average value for a certain period.

Disabled: all values appear in the chart - without aggregation.
