DescriptionThe NETx Server is not able to bind the KNXnet/IP driver to the configured IP address and port.
Causes
  • The IP address specified in KNX > Router configuration > NETIP > NetworkCardIPAddress is not on your local machine.
  • The UDP port specified in Server > Advanced > Router configuration > NETIP.ServerSendPort or ServerReceivePort is in use by a different application.
Resolutions
  • To automatically select the network interface for KNX communication, leave KNX > Router configuration > NETIP > NetworkCardIPAddress empty.
  • To restrict KNX traffic to a specific network interface, make sure to provide a valid IP address of the machine runnig the NETx Server in KNX > Router configuration > NETIP > NetworkCardIPAddress.
  • To check UDP port usage, stop the NETx Server and execute the following command in an administrator shell to get current UDP connections:

    netstat -ab -p udp

    Make sure that the ports configured in Server > Advanced > Router configuration > NETIP are not in use. In case any of the configured ports is in use, change the configuration in the NETx Server or switch the port in the application using the port.
