Introduction
The integrated Messenger module of the NETx BMS Core Server allows to tweet a message directly to twitter.Â
Prerequisites
In order to allow the NETx Server to push a tweet, a Developer Twitter account is required. Any Twitter account could be changed to developer account by visiting Twitter Developer page and following the steps to a convert to Developer account.Â
Create a custom Twitter App
To create a Twitter app choose to Apps page from the menu and click on Create an app button. App Details page should be filled. Make sure that all required fields are filled with your own information. After saving the changes, the app should be like:
In the App Details, under Key and Tokens tab a Consumer API keys & Access token & access token secret should be generated. Those tokens should be used in the BMS Studio.

To add the Twitter app in BMS Platform Core Studio select Menu → Modules → Messenger → [Live] Twitter tab, and add a new definition and save the configuration (no restart required).
All done. You are now able to tweet to your twitter account within the NETx BMS Platform.
Send a test message
As mentioned in the Messenger module configuration, NETx BMS Platform ships with pre-built messenger Commands.
We can use the MESSENGER.PUBLISHTWEET Command to send a test twitter account accessibility .
Select the "Run XCommand..." menu entry within the "Tools" menu entry of the NETx BMS Core Studio.
Select the MESSENGER.PUBLISHTWEET XCommand, enter the name of the previously configured profile (note: if the profile name does not exist or if this parameter is blank, the first found Twitter definition will be used).
Click "Execute". You should now see the tweet published on the related account.Â
