Introduction

The Reporting app is an application to run predefined reports and create custom reports.

Click the Reporting icon on the dashboard of the Web Manager to open the Reporting app.

Pages

The Reporting app consists of five pages which can be accessed on the left sidebar:

• Reporting configuration page: define and organize reports.
• Reporting execute page: run default or custom reports.
• Report designer page: create custom graphical reports.
• Reporting history page: List of generated reports in the past.
• Reporting logs page: Log messages of the Reporting App.

A database connection is required for the app. If no database connection is available the app cannot be started

Internals

Reporting server

The reports are generated by the Reporting Server, which is part of the BMS Platform installation. The Reporting Server runs as a background process and is automatically started when not running.

The item tree contains a data point indicating the Reporting Server's status, NETx\Module\Reporting\ReportingServerStatus.
