RGB Image
This control is used to make RGB actuator states visible in a layered way. The base is the color of the RGB actuator(s) which is covered with an Opacity Mask. Any colored pixel of the mask determines a dot which will be colored in the resulting image. Invisible areas work, as if they are completely colorless and through shining. As a third layer you can place an image with alpha channel or an image with invisible parts (PNG or GIF). This could be a photo of the restaurants guest room mentioned in RGB control. When the lighter part of the image (e.g. the walls illuminated with indirect spots) would be through shining, one can get a preview of the room and its colored hue. On the Object tab of the control the following functions can be selected:

The tab Appearance is structured as follows:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Picture | The overlaying image covering the masked color areas. |
Opacity mask | The mask determines which part of the RGB Image will be colored and which will show the background. Other underlying controls will be shown as well and might contribute to the final resulting image. When no opacity mask is set at all the whole area will be colored. |
Rotation | The angle which the button will be turned clockwise. |
Flip | If either vertically or horizontally is checked, the button will be flipped accordingly. The caption is not affected by this. |
Stretch mode | if this property is set, the pictures of the control are stretched to the size of the control regardless of its proportion. |
Opacity | It contains the percentage of how through shining the control will be displayed. 100% is solid and 5% makes the control almost invisible. Only the images of the control are inflicted by the opacity, background color and caption will remain solid. |
Use transparency | When set, one color of the control is made transparent. |
Transparent color | This color is the one set to invisible, when the check box above is set. A color can be picked with the pipette tool. |
