Clock

This control can be used as a clock that shows the current system time. It is possible to customize its appearance according to the users’ needs.

The tab Appearance is structured as follows:

RGB Control

This control was designed foremost to set up light actors in a specific color and intensity. For example the lighting in a restaurant during daytime could be done in a slight blue tone where it might add to a lighter atmosphere, where in the evening one might want to choose a warmer color. On the “Object” tab of the control the following functions can be selected:

FunctionThe drop down list contains two modes. It is possible to connect to a 24 bit single Item or to three different 8 bit Items.
Control Item

epending on the selected function, the following options are available:

  • Single 24 bit item – Select the single Item here.
  • Three 8 bit items – There is one field for each of the three colors “Red”, “Green”, and “Blue”. The user may connect each to a 8 bit Server Item.
Status Item

Depending on the selected function, the following options are available:

  • Single 24 bit item – When “Status On” is checked, it is possible to select an item for status feedback right below the check box.
  •  Three 8 bit items – when “Status On” is checked, it is possible to select an Item for each of the three color status reports right below the check box.

The tab “Appearance”  is structured as follows:

RGB Image

This control is used to make RGB actuator states visible in a layered way. The base is the color of the RGB actuator(s) which is covered with an Opacity Mask. Any colored pixel of the mask determines a dot which will be colored in the resulting image. Invisible areas work, as if they are completely colorless and through shining. As a third layer you can place an image with alpha channel or an image with invisible parts (PNG or GIF). This could be a photo of the restaurants guest room mentioned in RGB control. When the lighter part of the image (e.g. the walls illuminated with indirect spots) would be through shining, one can get a preview of the room and its colored hue. On the Object tab of the control the following functions can be selected:

The tab Appearance is structured as follows:

PictureThe overlaying image covering the masked color areas.
Opacity maskThe mask determines which part of the RGB Image will be colored and which will show the background. Other underlying controls will be shown as well and might contribute to the final resulting image. When no opacity mask is set at all the whole area will be colored.
RotationThe angle which the button will be turned clockwise.
FlipIf either vertically or horizontally is checked, the button will be flipped accordingly. The caption is not affected by this.
Stretch modeif this property is set, the pictures of the control are stretched to the size of the control regardless of its proportion.
OpacityIt contains the percentage of how through shining the control will be displayed. 100% is solid and 5% makes the control almost invisible. Only the images of the control are inflicted by the opacity, background color and caption will remain solid.
Use transparencyWhen set, one color of the control is made transparent.
Transparent colorThis color is the one set to invisible, when the check box above is set. A color can be picked with the pipette tool.
