Group management

Permissions can be defined either on users or on groups.

To do the administration of permissions in a fast way, (similar) users can be added to a group. The permissions will be defined on the group itself and all members in the group inherit the permissions automatically.

Group administration requires Super Administrator privileges.


Click the Groups button  on the left sidebar of the dashboard to open the Groups page.

Content

The page consists of several areas:

  • At the beginning of the page the toolbar appears.
  • On the left hand side the list of available groups appears.
  • On the right hand side details of the selected group appear and can be edited there.

Toolbar functions

The functions on the page depend on the role of the logged on user.

Function Description

Add a new group

Delete the selected group

Switch to multi-select mode

Refresh page


Field Description
Name *Name of the group (mandatory). The name has to be unique in the system.

Description for this group.
