OPC UA

Installation

The OPC UA interface is provided as an extension and is not included within the default setup. The server can connect to other OPC UA server and it can act as OPC UA server, allowing up to 100 connections simultaneously.

To install the OPC UA interface, open the App Manager, select ADD APP, and press the download button near to the entry OPC UA.

This will download the app and prepare it for installation. Afterwards, restart the Core Server, close the Core Studio and reopen it. Within the Modules menu of the Core Studio you will find a new sub menu OPC UA. It contains entries for all definitions that are necessary for configuration the OPC UA interface.

This is a major update. If you update from < 1.1.0, please consider the following remarks:

  • The NodeIds of the server interface changed. The prefix “0:” is not used anymore. To restored the old NodeIds naming schema, enable the option “UseOldNodeIds”.

  • The OPC UA client certificates are now stored in LocalMachine\NETx BMS Platform Client
