Most of the Web Manager apps provide import and export functions for their configuration data.

Use these functions to

• create a backup of the configuration data (export)

• restore a backup (import)

• transfer configuration data to another BMS system

General

Export

Click the Export button

from the toolbar to open the export dialog.

The following picture shows the export dialog of the Explorer app:

Select the objects for the export.

Click the Export button to generate the .zip file.

 

The content of the export file depends

• on the current selection in the project tree.

• on the current app and its accessible objects. Refer to Web Manager apps and objects

Import

Click the Import button

from the toolbar to open the import dialog.

 

The following picture shows the import dialog:

After selecting the .zip file the dialog shows the content of the selected file:

 

Click the Import button to run the import and show the summary.

The import creates the objects of the import file at the current position in the project tree.

Reporting

Export

Click the Export button

from the toolbar to export the selected report.

The export generates a .repx file which is stored to the file system.

Import

Click the Import button

from the toolbar to open the import dialog.

The selected .repx file will be imported automatically.

Templates

Export

Click the Export button

from the toolbar to export the selected template.

The export generates a .zip file which is stored to the file system.

Import

Click the Import button

from the toolbar to open the import dialog.

The selected .zip file will be imported automatically.
